Photography Workshop with Dennis Chamberlain. This is a free program offered by FOCL, Friends of the Corrales Library.
In this 90 minute presentation, you’ll find that “it’s not about the camera”. Most great photographs are taken by photographers who understand “the light” and have discovered how to put themselves in the right location at the right time. In many cases, their equipment plays a relatively minor role in the equation.
That said, we will still cover the “nuts and bolts” of cameras and we will compare the specs of cell phone cameras to one of the latest and most powerful consumer digital cameras – Nikon D850.
The presentation will include an abundance of photographs to show the “story behind the photos” and comparisons between mediocre snapshots and stunning photographs. It will also include brief demonstrations of the power of Photoshop and the way photographers these days are using it to their advantage.
For this presentation, it is not necessary to bring your camera or your laptop.
The instructor is Dennis Chamberlain, a member of the Professional Photographers of America, a Master Artist, Master Photographer, Certified Professional Photographer, and Photographic Craftsman. His website is www.dcphotoartistry.com
