Children's Programs
Summer Reading Program 2008

“Catch the Reading Bug”

 

Summer is a terrific time to “Catch the Reading Bug” and where better than at your favorite place, the Corrales Library


·
       
Registration for the Summer Reading program will begin Tuesday, May 20 at 1:00 P.M.

·        Children of all ages are encouraged to participate

·        The first 150 children to register will receive book bags containing fun activity pages, reading logs and a few goodies.

·        Children do not have to register to participate in the Tuesday evening programs

 

We will celebrate by hosting an eight-week series of programs for children and their families.

 

Programs will be held outdoors, weather permitting,
Tuesday evenings @ 7:00 p.m.


All programs are Free to the public, sponsored by the Friends of the Corrales Library (FOCL)

·        June 3rd   Two is for Joy will perform original mellow alternative rock music. The band is made up of Keenan Vincent, Tommy Austin and Justin Camilli.

 

·        June 10th Clan Tynker will thrill the audience with their Magic.

 

·        June 17th Wagogo will play World music, sure to make the crowd dance.

 

·        June 24th Martial Artistry will perform Lion and Dragon dances.

 

·        July 1st John Stokes and Nancy Latuja will take us to far away places with their stories and dances.

 

·        July 8th Johnny Moon Magic will perform a hilarious comedy magic show.

 

·        July 15th Storyteller “Indiana Bones” will entertain the audience with stories of folklore, myths, history and science.

 

·        July 22nd Los Tapatios a young group of dancers will perform Mexican Dances.

Teen Programs

(Ages 9 to 19 welcome! Advance sign-up required. 15 participants per program.)
